Way back In late sixties, the emotional & cultural vacuum among Kashmiri Pandits of Mumbai necessitated a cultural connect with the fraternity hence the emergence of community Newsletter in Hindi – MILCHAR . This single page newsletter, over the years, underwent gradual transformation that yielded a tri-lingual, bi-monthly publication in a regular magazine format.

Ever since, MILCHAR pride fully provides literary space for expression & cultural awareness to Kashmiri community and now, even beyond Mumbai. It has an independent Editorial Board, which toils to make MILCHAR an emotively authentic outlet for KP Biradari’s views & aspirations etc.

Authored by eminent writers, thinkers, community leaders etc., MILCHAR’s current readership enjoys English, Hindi & Kashmiri write-ups on issues concerning all that connects us to Kashmir, Kashmiri and Kashmiriyat.
Currently its editorial board is headed by Shri Chand Bhat as its Editor.
